The Sewing threads, as they are nowadays , appeared only in the Middle Ages on the occasion of a weaver’s loom and a drawing frame machine making possible to produce a thread that is thinner. Just that time a sage saying appeared – sew with the material from what the fabric is manufactured.
The choice of threads in modern sewing production is unbelievably huge: synthetic (polyamide, polyester), artificial (viscose), natural (cotton, linen, silk, and woolen) and much more. The thread quality is characterized by the number of factors: durability, elasticity, even spin and thickness, abrasion resistance, absence of the open thread and knots in a bobbin, color fastness; for the synthetic threads – high-temperature resistance.
TEX system
The word "textile" gave its name to the system TEX. The linear density in TEX system defines the thickness of filamentary materials and is expressed by mass in grams of thread spinning – 1000m. The more the TEX is the denser is the thread. The specification of the thread usually consists of two numbers: firstly the TEX quantity and secondly the quantity fibers in thread.
1 tex = 1g/1000 m, or 1 Dtex (Detsiteks) = 1g/10 000 m.
Our company offers a great choice of high quality threads of any kind: all-purpose, 100% polyester sewing thread, reinforce, embroidery, thread -lurex, silicone threads and spandex threads, textured, lining, monothread, trimming thread and much more. The color palette offers more than 600 colors.
