Surely the waistband or scarf could be fixed with a node or a brooch, but a belt can not be. From the very outset, they were rudely carved leather bands with leather or ivory buckles. Later in the Bronze Age, there appeared a precious bronze buckle. This is a great-grandmother of modern buckles. Today buckle is very fashionable accessory, and plays a special part as a decorative element of a garment.
